Run sail verify instead of cargo verus verify. Sail is an open-source replacement that avoids repeating work: it caches Z3 answers, keeps unchanged target proofs and restores earlier proofs after an undo.
In the release benchmarks, one-line edits verified 1.2 to 2.5 times faster across the tested projects. A Vest revert on Linux took 1.1 seconds with Sail versus 39 seconds with stock Verus.
Your project and specifications stay the same. To switch back, run cargo verus verify again.
